The administrative bodies of the Department of Business Administration are the Assembly of the Department and the President.
Department Assembly
The Department Assembly consists of: a) the President of the Department, b) the Deputy President of the Department, c) all members of the Teaching and Research Staff of the Department, d) one (1) representative from each category of the Special Educational Staff and the Special Technical Laboratory Staff of the Department, and e) the student representatives.
President
The President of the Department and the deputy president who replaces him/her in cases of absence or disability are elected every three years. The President of the Department:
- heads the Department and supervises its proper operation,
- Participates in the Senate and the Dean's Council, representing the Department, and submits proposals to the competent bodies of the Higher Education Institution (AEI) on issues related to its needs and operations,
- Calls the Department Assembly, chairs its proceedings, prepares the agenda, appoints a rapporteur for the Assembly's issues if he/she does not propose the issues himself/herself and ensures the implementation of its decisions,
- Informs the Assembly about the decisions of the Senate and the Dean's Council that concern the Department and the general operation of HEI (AEI in Greek),
- monitors the educational operation of the first-cycle study programs provided by the Department, unless a program coordinator has been appointed,
- Issues decisions for the inclusion of Teaching and Research Staff (D.E.P.) on a part-time basis, following a decision by the Assembly,
- Grants the leaves under Article 157 to the D.E.P. members of the Department for which the President is responsible, following a decision by the Department Assembly,
- Approves the transfer of faculty members, if the transfer is carried out for the needs of the Department,
- Forwards the opinions, proposals, or recommendations of the Department Assembly to the relevant bodies of HEI (AEI in Greek),
- Establishes committees to study or handle specific issues within the Department’s responsibilities,
- Oversees the maintenance of the Department’s scientific publication records,
- prepares and approves the annual report of the Department's activities, which is submitted for approval to the Department Assembly and then is forwarded to the Dean's Office, the Senate and the Board of Directors of HEI (AEI),
- Carries out any other responsibilities assigned by the internal regulations of the HEI (AEI).
The President of the T.D.E. from 17.10.2024 is Professor Mr. Apostolos Christopoulos.
